Winpopup from linux
It is possible to send winpop messages anonymously to
Windows machines from linux using smbclient.
You can change the username which appears in the from section
of the message
- Log on or telnet/ssh into a linux box
- Find the address of the target machine
- Run smbclient -M host -U username
- It should now say "Type your message, ending with a Control-D"
- Enter your message, press return, the control-D
