A DOCTOR Who fan thought he had been exterminated when a spray can exploded - as he painted a Dalek. Company director Chris Balcombe, who suffered torn finger ligaments in his right hand, was awarded £4,000 compensation for his injuries. The 42-year-old was preparing his robot - famed for declaring 'ex-ter-min-ate!' - for a starring role in a TV ad for Kit-Kat. 'There was an almighty bang. It was terrifying', said Mr Balcombe, of Southampton. 'I guess this is one of the occupational hazards of owning a Dalek.' Accessories firm Halfords settled out of court after admitting liability.
