Petrol stupidity

SLOVAKIA: A driver blew up his car and a petrol station when he used a cigarette lighter to peer into his fuel tank to see how much was left.
The 30-year-old, who has been charged with endangering public safety, told police his petrol gauge was broken so he stopped at the garage and used a lighter to see into the nozzle. He then fled as the tank ignited, wrecking the petrol station in the western town of Horna Streda.
The man was treated for burns and two other people who were badly injured are still in hospital.
